VST Optimizer
Setting up a VST audio effect or Synthesizer to sound like an authentic real-world recording is a tough task, so we took the computer to the rescue.
Throwing together the Accessive Tools Audio Similarity Algorithm and an evolutionary optimization technology from the Accessive Tools optimization library, we developed a system that can take virtually any room impulse response and adjust the settings of a VST reverberation plug-in so that its sound emulates the given impulse response.
It also works with actual single-note recordings and any generic audio synthesizer plug-in.

The server component receives new sounds from the clients. The reference sound is the first one. The second is the best sound found so far and the third is an incoming candidate.
We presented the system at two AES conferences. The YouTube video below demonstrates the resulting sound.
